Casey Stoner has smashed the lap record and bettered the 2007 A-Style Assen TT race time by almost 25 seconds in a dominant display at a dramatic Dutch MotoGP. The Ducati pilot doubled his winning margin from Donnington, crossing the line once again standing tall on the vertical Ducati 11.31 seconds ahead of Honda rider Dani Pedrosa.

The Assen TT will be broadcast delayed on Fox Sport 3 in Australia from 8:30PM on Saturday 28th June and repeated from 3PM on Sunday 29th June.
Free to Air station Channel 10 will show the MotoGP in delayed telecast from 1am (Sunday morning) on its SD channel and from 10pm (Saturday evening) on its HD channel.

Australian Casey Stoner has sealed his second successive victory at Donnington and his second race of the season. The reigning world champion crossed the line standing on the pegs of the upright Ducati 5.7 seconds in front of 200 race veteran Valentino Rossi.

Australian Casey Stoner has upstaged veteran Valentino Rossi in his 200th race start at Donnington. Stoner managed to secure pole with a time of 1′38.232. Six-tenths of a second faster than the bi-centenarian who starts from second. Chris Vermeulen joins Rossi and Stoner on the front row, once again proving his affinity for wet weather racing. Once upon a time MotoGP was simple. Doohan was gone, Rossi was at the front, easily the best rider in the paddock, his celebrations were fun and interesting, and he always did wheelies over the line, with knack knack, flamingos, can-cans etc. It was easy to like him, and most people did.
